Theoretical Physics grad keen to help with mostly Math/Phys!

Mimi worked for me at the Kumon Beeston Centre in Nottingham for a period of about 4 yrs as a class assistant to begin with and head assistant in her final 2 yrs. She worked with children ranging in age from 5yrs old to 16 yrs old helping them in their Maths and English studies. She was a team member of 6 staff assistants and worked 2days a week during our regular class times.
Her role involved supervision of staff and assisting young children in developing their study skills in higher the level maths and English.
She was a highly reliable member of staff and I could depend on her getting things done. She worked diligently and worked effectively as a team member.

ASCENTS 121 Mentoring was an externally funded outreach initiative that aimed to evaluate the impact of one to one mentoring in GCSE science examinations. The project took place in Leeds secondary schools over a 23 week period in 2019/20. ASCENTS mentors worked once a week with children from less fortunate backgrounds, aiming to raise educational aspirations and academic attainment. As such, ASCENTS mentors were required to consistently and reliably demonstrate essential communication and organisation skills on a weekly basis. Mimi was one of the ASCENTS mentors and worked hard and consistently to support her mentee. .
