About Tamara

Tamara was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. She began singing professionally at the age of 9 in a local performance of The King and I. Throughout her early career, she appeared in many theatrical productions both in and out of NYC, such as Brighton Beach Memoirs, Little Women, Company, The Who’s Tommy, Phantom, and Little Shop of Horrors. She then began singing with live bands in Las Vegas and Chicago, and then formed her own female trio, writing and performing their own music. While in Las Vegas, she performed in many shows as well as hotel/casino house bands including MGM Grand, New York New York, Bellagio, Paris, Venetian, The Palms, and more. Tamara worked as a featured vocalist for Royal Caribbean's largest cruise ships for 7 years. After relocating to the UK in 2020, she has been coaching singing and acting to kids ages 8 - 18 in both group settings as well as private lessons.

About the lesson

My lessons are 30 minutes in length, and I charge £20 per session. Each vocal coaching session begins with a focused 5–10 minute warm-up designed to prepare your voice safely and effectively. These exercises help develop breath support, resonance, placement, and overall vocal flexibility, ensuring you are ready to sing with confidence. The remainder of the session is dedicated to working on your chosen repertoire. We address phrasing, pitch accuracy, tone quality, and stylistic choices, while also exploring lyric interpretation, storytelling, and performance technique. I provide clear, real-time guidance to help you connect emotionally with the music and deliver an authentic, polished performance. Every element of the lesson is tailored to your goals, skill level, and vocal type. For online lessons, backing tracks for your selected pieces are provided in advance, allowing you to have them ready on your end. This ensures a smooth, uninterrupted session and enables us to focus fully on your vocal development and musical expression.
