About the lesson

I prioritise the fundamentals of music as the cornerstone of musical education. My teaching methodology emphasises the theoretical reasoning behind a performer’s decisions, fostering confidence in both performance and showmanship.

Teaching Approach:
- Experience with students aged 12–16, welcoming upper primary to high school students.
- Lessons are tailored to each student’s ability and needs, with negotiable lesson lengths.

Focus Areas:
- Beginner (up to Grade 4): Fundamentals of clarinet playing and building a strong foundation.
- Advanced (beyond Grade 4): Refining performance skills to encourage student-led growth and musical maturity.

An initial assessment in the first lesson determines the student’s skill level, with recommendations provided. Ultimately, students set their own goals, and lessons are designed to support their aspirations.

He has developed an excellent sense of logic in his maths and is very capable in conveying his ideas to better his student’s understanding. He has shown countless hours of dedication to building his understanding and mastery of mathematics and has reaped the benefits within his academic career. I believe that any student under his guidance will receive outstanding support and benefit from his practical and student oriented teaching style.
