About Meike
I have been giving tutoring, both to fellow pupils and younger pupils, since mid-high school, by helping to summarize, one-on-one guidance in studying a particular topic, support with writing assignments and projects, and explanation and deepening. Since the start of my studies at the university in Groningen, I have also worked as a mentor and student assistant, both in a group and on an individual basis. Among other things, I currently teach Dutch to international students.

In my lessons I think it is important that the student feels heard and that personal tailor-made guidance comes first. Are you audio-visual? I will be happy to help you create mind maps, develop your own color codes when taking notes and summaries, and in my lessons I will offer more in-depth information on topics that appeal to you and make learning easier and more interesting for you. Do you prefer chronology, logic and a slightly more abstract approach? I would like you to make an organized curriculum so that we have clear goals and you know where you stand. Do you not really know which learning style suits you best? Together I like to look with you at how you learn best and which tools we can use for this. One of my specialties lies mainly in making connections in the curriculum (and even between different subject areas) and with that in associative learning, a skill that is tested in schools in many different ways and is becoming increasingly important. With my enthusiasm, creativity and sensitivity I am ready for the student and I like to help the student overcome possible study problems.
