About Joshua
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education alongside a California Teaching Credential in Secondary Mathematics. I have completed more than 200 college credit hours and will be receiving my Credential and Degree in late 2021 after completing demonstration teaching. I have been private tutoring for seven years and love my job immensely!

I believe that Math is more than just repetition and grind. Math is a language, and as all languages do, expresses more than just science. It is a way to interpret life and the world around us, to express reality, and to share ideas. Students shouldn't be forced to do hours of nonsense busy work when we could engage them in thoughtful discussion to deliver deeper understanding in less time. My primary classroom model involves lots of guided practice and individual/small group work focused on projects designed around students' interests.

Joshua has been working with both of my kids (13 year old twins) for over a year now, they see him twice a week for Math tutoring. I have no words to express how good Josh has been for my kids.
