About Kayomi

Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, I’ve tried my absolute best to learn topics comprehensively and maintain my 4.0 GPA. With my strong academic background and experience, I am dedicated to helping you succeed. Together, we can tackle any challenges you may face in math and science. About the lesson

My tutoring lesson plans are uniquely attuned to my students to ensure maximum comprehension, and are very flexible based on student needs.

Here’s what a basic lesson plan looks like:

1. Assessment (5):

Evaluate student's current understanding and areas of difficulty.
Discuss student's goals and expectations.

2. Concept Review (10 minutes):

Review previous lessons or homework to reinforce understanding.
Address any lingering questions or confusion.

3. New Material (15 minutes):

Introduce new concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Break down complex topics into simpler, manageable parts.
Provide real-life examples and applications to make the material relatable.

4. Practice Problems (20 minutes):

Work through a series of practice problems together.
Encourage student to attempt problems independently, offering guidance as needed.
Correct mistakes and provide explanations to ensure understanding.

5. Application and Extension (10 minutes):

Apply learned concepts to real-world scenarios or advanced problems.
Discuss how the concepts relate to other areas of math or science.
6. Recap and Homework (5 minutes):

Summarize key points covered in the lesson.
Assign relevant homework to reinforce learning.
Encourage questions and clarify any remaining doubts.

7. Follow-up (Ongoing):

Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
Adjust teaching strategies as needed to address areas of difficulty.
Continuously motivate and encourage student's learning journey.
