About Alicia

With over twenty-five years of mathematics tutoring experience, I have worked with thousands of students. In addition to improved grades, comments I hear most often are that students have improved confidence and overall number sense. I have worked for companies like Sylvan Learning Center and taught math in classroom settings. I have curated a collection of excellent teaching resources from elementary math through AP Calculus and Statistics. I'm always on the lookout for engaging materials. I enjoy making math understandable to those who struggle and also challenging students to go from good to great. I'm new on this platform, but I have a proven track record with scores of written references from very happy clients. One-on-one tutoring is my favorite way to work with future world changers. About the lesson

I tailor instruction to the needs of the student. Some need help with foundational skills, overall number sense, and the meta cognition of how to approach different types of math problems. Others need test prep and test taking skills. Some are skilled mathematicians looking to rise to the top. I show students common errors and tips and tricks to improve success.
