About Alfonso

My father was a bit of a hard ass when it came to numbers and the proper way to measure or calculate them. He prided himself in his ability to understand how to calculate numbers and find missing information. The number (1) one in English, uno in Spanish, and un in French when being described by word. The number 1 & 2 & 3 etc. are universal. 1+1=2 in France, England, and Spain. Numbers never lie and my father was the one who gave me the understanding and guidance to appreciate the truth. He taught me to look at numerical equations with a universal understanding. My approach is to teach perception and understanding of a mathematical equation.

About the lesson

Learn how to identify the key elements in a problem-solving process by learning how to identify what is needed for the calculation of the correct answer. Learn how to solve problems by using the information within the question to solve problems. Learn how to dissect and understand what is being asked and how to organize the process of solving the equations. Formulas or cheat sheets will get you by when properly applied. Learn how to understand the equations by learning what is being asked and what information is available to solve the problem. High school and middle school students struggling with math and algebra, as well as students with high mathematical skills, are encouraged to enhance their skills by learning the breakdown of any equation. Proficiency and final exams are a lesson away from being conquered.

$25 travel fee 25+ mile trip up to 55 miles $1 per mile thereafter
Nevada State mathematics proficiency test preparation $100 if student is unsuccessful in passing test in 3 attempts rates resume to the hourly rate (Practice Test, Study guide, 5 one hour lesson, and online access for students to reach me to discuss any issues with the program before and upon completion of course and successful test results are included in $100 fee)
