About Laura
I am a qualified Science teacher with several years of classroom experience, as well as extensive experience supporting pupils with SEND and delivering KS3 Maths interventions. I hold the NASENCo qualification and specialist qualifications in educational testing and access arrangements. I particularly enjoy helping students who may have lost confidence in a subject or who need learning explained in a different way. I want tutoring to feel encouraging, calm and personalised, giving students the time and individual attention they do not always get in a busy classroom. My aim is for students to leave lessons feeling more confident, capable and positive about their learning.

I offer friendly, supportive and personalised lessons designed around each student’s individual needs and learning style. As a qualified Science teacher with experience teaching Science and supporting KS3 Maths, I focus on building confidence as well as subject knowledge. Lessons are structured but flexible, with clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I have extensive experience supporting students with SEND, including dyslexia and ADHD, and I adapt resources and teaching methods to make learning accessible. My aim is to help students feel comfortable, make progress and develop greater independence in their learning.
