About Eleanor

My name is Eleanor and I am an experienced teacher and private tutor in chemistry, physics, biology and maths. I graduated from the University of Oxford with a combined Undergraduate and Masters degree in Chemistry, and I am a fully qualified Science teacher with three years' classroom teaching experience across all three sciences at GCSE level, as well as both chemistry and physics at A-level. As a tutor, I specialise in chemistry (up to A-level) plus physics, biology and maths (up to GCSE level). I focus on helping students to develop a problem-solving approach, and to go beyond memorisation to see the underlying principles and patterns in science and maths. I love seeing students' confidence grow as they tackle what can sometimes seem like daunting subjects, and have enabled my students to achieve excellent grades which allowed them to go on to further study, e.g. medicine.
