About Bradley

Hello everyone! My name I is Brad Dodd, I am a Cal State lecturer of mathatics with over 10 years of K-12 experience. With a masters degree in mathematics and a thesis in math education I am perfectly positioned to help you or your child understand mathematics and find success in your class. Whether it is elementary level mathematics, Algebra, Calculus, or beyond I am confident that I can help you achieve your education goals.

About the lesson

My primary teaching method is emphasizing conceptual understanding as well as simplifying and breaking down more complex processes into simpler smaller sections to help retention and overall understanding. I am a proponent of utilizing a growth mindset, encouraging my students to realize that they can achieve their goals through a productive struggle and an open mind. I believe in being extremely patient with my students always lifting them up and never putting them down. Math can feel hard, and that's ok, we can achieve our learning goals whether it's introductory algebra or multi-variable calculus.

Bradley is an excellent instructor because he focuses on improving students' mathematical knowledge by showing mathematical techniques and explaining them in an insightful manner that allows students to successfully retain the material. Furthermore, he strives to make students understand the overall idea of a specific concept so that they can be better prepared for similar problems.
