About Joon
I'm Sohini Ghosh, a passionate 19-year-old vocalist and music enthusiast. I started my musical journey at the age of 7 and haven't looked back since. With a strong foundation in music education, I've completed my Grade 8 level of vocal examination from Rockschool London RSL Awards.
Music has been my constant companion, and I've developed my skills over the years, created my YouTube channel. Through this platform, I've had the privilege of reaching music lovers far and wide, garnering over 1,530,719 views and gaining over 7.5K+ subscribers.
Currently, I'm working on an ambitious project that showcases my dedication. I'm in the process of creating 50 reel covers, each infused with my personal touch, and crafting 10 original songs that capture my artistic evolution. This endeavour is a testament to my commitment to growth and creative exploration.
Music to me is more than just notes and melodies, it's a powerful medium of expression that enables me to connect with others on a profound level. I create a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. Building a strong rapport with each student is essential to establishing a positive learning environment.
I understand that young children learn best through interactive and hands-on experiences. I use the "Do-Re-Mi" song to introduce them to the basic musical concepts of pitch and melody. We sing together, explore different vocal ranges, and experiment with different pitches.
I employ visual aids like musical notation charts, colourful diagrams, and interactive apps to help children visualize musical concepts. This approach enhances their understanding and memory retention.
