About Chase
I am a math and science tutor with experience substitute teaching 9th-12th grade math courses. I'm particularly familiar with tutoring algebra through calculus as well as statistics should that be of interest to anyone. I also have taught/tutored chemistry and physics for those in need of help in science courses.

I am a college graduate with some graduate school experience in statistics courses under my belt. I am most accustomed to tutoring in a one-on-one setting, however I am not opposed to tutoring groups of students as well. My most commonly requested subjects include tutoring for ACT/SAT, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry for high school students and College Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics/Probability courses for college students. I prefer to teach conceptually rather than push my students to memorize solving techniques or problem types while also providing information about any problem-solving "shortcuts" to help with time spent on tests and exams. It is always my preference to explain why any of these shorter methods (compared with some lengthy methods initially taught in some courses) work to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject being studied.
