About Caleb
Hi!
I'm an aspiring engineer with a strong academic background, particularly in the core subjects, Maths, English Language and Combined science, where I acheived Grade 9s (A*) at GCSE. I'm also a competent instrumentalist and problem solver, and invested in fitness.
While focusing on my own studies throughout GCSEs, I aided peers with revision and study techniques, and related with their personal needs to ensure they could feel and be ready for the upcoming exams. I helped a vast range of students, from EAL students trying to pass English and Maths to grade 6/7 Maths students push for the highest grades.

I believe that building a bond between tutor and student is crucial, and as a tutor I think tailoring lessons to each student's aspirations and starting points is paramount. With an honest and positive relationship, fostering good learning and positive attitudes and habits becomes easy. I find teaching in 45 minute to 1 hour durations is the right way to make great progress, so these are the blocks I offer for tutoring.
For Maths in particular, walking through exam questions together to grasp the processes behind challenging problems, then engaging in student-led practice to ensure that their practise and revision can be seen in their results. Andrew Huberman talks about this best with the "Watch one, do one, teach one" method.
Let's talk about how we can best help your child excel in Maths, English and Science and develop their confidence in the build up to GCSEs. I am able to travel to Reading Central and Battle Libraries, and I use Google Meet or Skype for any online Tutor sessions. Don't hesitate to contact, as there will be a limited intake of students on a first come, first serve basis.
