About Adam
I have taught Physics at the college level for over a decade.
I have taught standardized test preparationfor 12 years for subject tests in the natural sciences and mathematics (SAT/AP) as well as the English Reading and Writing sections for the SAT and ACT (5 years in home and 7 years online) privately and for one of the nations leading test prep centers.
I have worked with hundreds of students teaching them, with great success (in some cases raising scores over 300 points), about how to identify their conceptual and procedural strengths and weakness within the structure, content and scoring of standardized exams; additionally, I can present the difficult concepts of physics, chemistry and biology in a simplistic and tangible way that makes the math a lot easier to deal with.
In the natural sciences my master's research was centered on the biophysics and structure of sickle cell anemia as well as the properties of nerve fiber conduction based on the Lillie Iron Wire (#20 piano wire in Nitric Acid) Experiment.
In the field of peace studies my research and thesis were focused on how the arts are used as a means of conflict transformation.
