About Matt

A graduate with a degree in Theoretical Physics from The University of York and PGCE in mathematics education. I have a wide experience of teaching and tutoring all ages and abilities. As a qualified teacher I have taught in schools in Private and Mainstream schools in central London gaining a wealth of teaching knowledge and understanding of the current syllabus. I now tutor students online 1:1 and I’m currently looking for Regular students and students wishing to boost their knowledge to bump up a grade or two before the exams. BSc Degree in Theoretical Physics from The University of York, a Russell group and top university. PGCE (QTS- Qualified teacher status) in secondary mathematics education from Goldsmiths, University of London Private and mainstream school teaching experience Lots of experience with EAL and SEN students Taught further maths syllabus with 92% of students achieving grade 7 and above and 23% of students gained a grade 8 or above Enhanced DBS clearance Teaching experience in the classroom and experience in online teaching and tutoring Any lesson length (typically 1 or 2 hour sessions) Very flexible timetable - I can work around you! KS2, KS3 and KS4 Mathematics Higher and foundation level Mathematics Specialising in GCSE mathematics and Further Mathematics Calm and relaxed teaching style including use of graphics tablet and interactive learning online

Perfect! Matthew was very easy going and worked perfectly around my schedule! His knowledge is extensive and he is patient explaining and teaching the processes of mathematics. If I ever need math tutoring again, I will be going through Matthew! Highly recommend!

I was Matt’s mentor while he was training to be a teacher at Lammas school in east London. He is an excellent teacher with a lovely and calm attitude toward his students. In the classroom he is calm and conducted and excelled at differentiating his lessons to make them accessible to all students.

His subject knowledge is excellent and a pleasure to work with - I highly recommend him as a tutor.
