About Arta

I offer high-quality, face-to-face and online maths tutoring in London, tailored to discerning families who value education, personal attention, and long-term confidence-building. With over six years of successful one-to-one tutoring experience, I have helped students from age 3 to university level, including those preparing for top UK schools and universities.

I am based in London and available to travel to your home, offering your child the benefit of focused, in-person sessions in a familiar and comfortable environment. Whether you are seeking support for a child with maths anxiety, or simply want to help your child thrive in a competitive academic setting, I focus on building confidence as the foundation for lasting success. My sessions are carefully paced, fully tailored, and rooted in empathy, structure, and calm professionalism.

I hold a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Maastricht University, an international diploma in Management and Leadership from the University of California-Berkeley, and a Public Health Policy and Management fellowship from Emory University.
I have single-authored a chapter on healthcare systems published by Oxford University Press.

Some of the main courses during my master’s were:
Financing Social Protection,
Social Budgeting,
Poverty and Inequality, and
Social Policy Design.

I also completed a summer course on Econometrics at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Mathematics, however, is my passion, and I find great pleasure in teaching it. I have recently taken the GCSE exam to ensure I am fully familiar with the new curriculum and the marking system, and I have worked closely with an official GCSE assessment specialist to refine my ability to guide students on how to write perfect answers. During lessons, I take responsibility for selecting topics appropriate to each student’s level and ensuring that sessions are student-led and that progress is made with every hour.

About the lesson

Many children start to lose confidence in maths as the topics become more complex. With the right support, they can rebuild that confidence and develop a clear understanding of the subject.

I focus on helping students make sense of what they’re learning, rather than just memorising methods. By breaking topics down and using clear explanations, examples, and visual approaches where helpful, I support students in understanding the “why” behind the maths. Lessons are tailored to each child’s needs—whether they need to catch up, prepare for exams, or simply feel more secure in class.

We work on core skills, problem-solving, and exam technique, depending on their stage. I teach in a calm, supportive way, creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Sessions take place at home when online does not feel productive, making things easier for both students and parents. Perfect! I highly recommend Arta to anyone looking for a math tutor. I felt extremely comfortable since our very first call which made me decide to continue learning with her. She has the ability to make every problem look small and manageable. She will break down each component of a problem, analyze it with you and explain it step by step this way you don't miss out on the logic and by the time the lesson ended i felt equipped to solve exercises by myself. The progress has been very good and she is genuinely interested in you doing well. I recommend her without hesitation.
