About Freya
I have over 2 years experience in tutoring three boys (7, 12 and 13 years old). English was not the first language for all three boys and the youngest was in the process of being diagnosed with a learning disability.
I am currently on a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education course by the Royal Veterinary College, as I will be facilitating Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sessions for students (MSci/MSc Wild Animal Biology and MSc Wild Animal Health).
I have a First Class (Hons) BSc in Biology from Queen Mary University of London (2017 - 2020) and a MSc in Wild Animal Biology from the Royal Veterinary College (Merit) (2020 - 2021).
My masters research project was titled: Establishing free-living African elephant (Loxodonta africana) plasma mineral and potentially toxic element reference intervals, assessment of sex differences and comparison to zoological data. Further sample analyses and statistical analyses are currently being conducted, with the intention of publishing the project in a scientific journal.
I attended an international school in Holland for my secondary school education, where I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Middle Years Programme.
I was awarded total of 31 points for my Diploma Programme, with the following subjects:
Higher Level: Biology, Chemistry and English Literature
Standard Level: Mathematics, Spanish B and Business Management
