About Kaiya
I’m Kaiya, an Ontario teacher who is passionate about fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments that support students in reaching their full potential. Having recently graduated from teacher’s college, I’m excited to begin my teaching career, bringing my enthusiasm for education to the classroom. I believe in creating spaces where all students feel valued and motivated to learn. Outside of teaching, I love to travel and explore new places, as well as hike and enjoy the outdoors. Spending time with my family, friends, and dogs is important to me, and I’m always looking for opportunities to connect and create lasting memories. I’m also a huge baseball fan, and I enjoy keeping up with the sport, whether it’s playing casually or watching games. Overall, I’m dedicated to growth, both as an educator and as an individual.

As an Ontario-certified teacher, I offer tutoring in Geography, History, and Social Sciences with a focus on making learning meaningful, relevant, and engaging. My approach emphasizes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and connecting course content to real-world issues and students’ everyday lives.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and needs, helping them develop strong skills in analysis, interpretation, and communication. Whether we’re exploring global patterns, historical events, or civic responsibilities, I guide students in thinking deeply, asking questions, and making connections. I use a variety of teaching tools—visuals, timelines, maps, case studies, and interactive activities—to make content more accessible and interesting.
Through thoughtful discussion, clear explanations, and encouraging feedback, I help students build confidence and curiosity in these subjects. My goal is not only to support academic success, but also to foster an understanding of the world around them and their place within it.
