  • 1. What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

    I started practising yoga at the age of 17 in my hometown, inspired by the yoga gurus I used to see every morning. Watching their calmness, strength, and focus deeply attracted me. What began as simple curiosity soon became a daily habit. That period was truly life-changing — yoga taught me discipline, balance, and inner peace at a young age, and it has stayed with me ever since.
  • 2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

    My favourite discipline is yoga, which I practice and teach at an advanced level. Along with yoga, I’ve always enjoyed playing cricket and kabaddi — both have taught me teamwork, discipline, and quick reflexes. As simple hobbies, I love cooking and bike riding in Himalayan region, which help me explorer , relax and stay creative outside of my practice. A sport I’d still like to discover is swimming, because it combines breath control, flexibility, and mindfulness — qualities that perfectly complement yoga.
  • 3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

    My motivation and passion for yoga come from seeing the transformation it brings — in both myself and my students. Yoga is more than a physical practice; it nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. When I see my students gaining strength, flexibility, and confidence, or feeling calmer and more focused, it reminds me why I started this journey. That continuous growth and the ability to help others improve their lives inspire me to practice and teach with dedication every day.
  • 4. Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

    One sporting achievement I’m particularly proud of is organizing a Yoga Day celebration with over 300 participants. Leading such a large event and seeing everyone engage with yoga was incredibly fulfilling. In addition, I’ve organized several other university-level events, which helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. These experiences showed me the impact yoga can have on communities, and motivated me to continue sharing its benefits with more people.
  • 5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

    My achievements and challenges have shaped me into an expert in online 1-on-1 yoga sessions. Through these personalized sessions, I’ve learned to assess each student’s unique needs, track their progress, and deliver real, measurable results in flexibility, strength, posture, and mindfulness. Overcoming personal challenges in mastering advanced asanas has strengthened my patience and empathy, which helps me guide students effectively, even remotely. Every session is designed to ensure they not only practice yoga but truly benefit from it.
  • 6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

    I would love to go for a jog with Novak Djokovic. Beyond being an incredible athlete, his focus on flexibility, recovery, and mindfulness closely mirrors the principles I teach in my 1-on-1 yoga sessions. I would ask him how he maintains mental clarity and balance under pressure, how he integrates breathing and recovery into his training, and what routines help him stay injury-free. As someone who guides students individually, helping them improve focus, strength, and resilience, I’d love to learn from his approach and share insights on how mindfulness and body awareness can elevate performance both on and off the mat.
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

    I help people stay motivated by creating personalized 1-on-1 yoga sessions that focus on their individual goals and progress. I track their improvements in flexibility, strength, posture, and mindfulness, and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. I also teach them practical techniques like breath control and mindful awareness to manage stress and maintain consistency. By showing tangible results and fostering a supportive, encouraging environment, I help students stay committed and inspired throughout their yoga journey.

    What makes me a Superprof in sports is my ability to deliver personalized, results-driven 1-on-1 yoga sessions. I focus on understanding each student’s unique needs and creating tailored practices that improve flexibility, strength, posture, and mindfulness.
