About Caitlin
I'm a Year 13 A Level student predicted A*s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths. I currently hold a conditional place to study Natural Sciences at Durham University.
I achieved eight 9s (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Lit, English Lang, Music, RE), one 8 (French) and one A* (Design & Technology: Resistant Materials) in my GCSEs in 2018 and was going to take my A Levels in May 2020 until the postponed schedule was announced.
I have not tutored online before, however I am a maths and science ambassador at my school and help peers and lower school students with content or questions they can't quite get. I'm an effective communicator (with younger students and peers alike), good with children (I've volunteered at a kids' county choir for the past four years), good handwriting, patient and passionate about my subjects.

I would set a baseline test for the subject that the student wants to improve upon and go from there. I would teach 11+ candidates, GCSE and A Level students.
Methods include (but not limited to):
- Teaching recap/introductory lessons on a certain topic that the student isn't as strong in
- Going through worked examples or exemplar answers to help grasp the concept of each topic
- Setting homework such as past paper questions, exercises or making revision resources and going over anything the student isn't sure on in a future lesson
- Getting the student to research a topic to prompt them to learn how to study independently (vital skill for university)
- Encouraging students to read around their subjects (I'm able to give some scientific and mathematical book recommendations) and develop enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
