About Vivek

My name is Vivek, and I am an experienced online mathematics tutor with a strong academic and teaching background. I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at UIUC, earned a Master’s degree in Robotics from Georgia Tech, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Robotics at Oregon State University. I have been tutoring high school and college students in mathematics for over eight years, helping them build strong foundations, improve academic performance, and gain confidence in problem-solving. I am professional, patient, and committed to delivering clear, well-structured lessons tailored to each student’s needs.

About the lesson

My name is Vivek, and my approach as a math tutor focuses on clarity, structure, and confidence-building. I break down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and adapt explanations to each student’s level and learning style. A typical lesson includes reviewing key concepts, guided problem-solving, and targeted practice to strengthen understanding. I use techniques inspired by my training in computer science and mathematics to help students think logically rather than memorize formulas. My lessons are designed for high school students and undergraduate university students, including those studying algebra, calculus, linear algebra, probability, and exam preparation such as SAT, ACT, and college-level assessments.
