About Abhishek
Abhishek Jain (Ph.D., Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, 2021) is currently an Independent Scholar of Indian Studies. Abhishek Jain has taught Indian religion, Jaina Yoga, Comparative Religion, and Sanskrit at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Prior to joining LMU in the Fall of 2022, Abhishek was a Gonda Postdoctoral Fellow at Leiden University, The Netherlands. He holds an MA and MPhil in Sanskrit with a special focus on Jain philosophy and a PhD in Indian literary studies with a special focus on historical discourse and philosophy of history in the Jain tradition. The major focus of his research is on classical and modern South Asian languages and literature, classical Indian philosophy, literary theory, and translation theory.
