About Pratima
Certified Yoga Instructor. I am based out of Philadelphia, born and brought up in Nepal. I first got introduced to yoga 10 years ago in my high school in Nepal and I got hooked. When I travelled away from home, I felt disconnected and at times lonely. I turned to Yoga to feel grounded and connected to my roots. It has helped me greatly with my posture and self-confidence. I enjoy slow Hatha Yoga sequences, pranayama, chanting, kriya and meditation. I have always enjoyed teaching and I finally made it official recently when I got my teacher's training(200 RYT). I look to share and welcome you to this powerful journey.

- Class starts with chanting and cleansing. I like to take an authentic approach to teach yoga - as they were originally taught.
- Breathing is the key. Every body is perfect and beautiful. There is no such thing as "yoga" body.
- Class is not rushed. I take the time for each pose, it's all about journey to the pose and finding the peace and rest in pose. This is not your regular Vinyasa class moving from one pose to another. "Sthirum Sukham asanam" is my mantra.
- Class ends with pranayama and some meditation.
