About Augustine U

I have passion in Social Sciences teaching, and thus helping youngsters to gain knowledge as well as develop superior skills of analysis too. This is what will make them important members of the communities that they came from. By helping to tilt hearts and minds of any of my pupils with my lessons, l tend to geometrically generate mental viruses of competition, achievement, progress and success, which are essential in any dynamic society.

About the lesson

I have always had a passion for young people and their development as a qualified teacher. For instance, the doctrine of ‘every child matters’ is always a slogan that is dear to my heart. It means that I possess the ability to establish positive relationships with children, fellow professionals, parents and adults in the classroom environment for the progress of a student. Literally, this is per se, a genuine interest in and respect for young people, and in counselling them whenever they need my assistance. Therefore, to be part of a teaching team in your institution thus, imparting knowledge to youngsters is central to my passion of caring for a child and this is a challenge, which I would like to partake in.

As can be attested by my background in the academia, it is evident that I am a forest of many trees. This implies that I have immense Subject knowledge namely: Politics, Citizenship, media studies, sociology, innovative and strategic management, Physical Social and Health Education (PSHE) and even Law, which is a plus for any learning organisation that engages my service as teacher or lecturer.

It were these innate key skills and experience in my knowledge development and training in the social sciences that feeds on my talent for involving and motivating students of all ability levels. All these skills appear obvious in the lessons, which I usually deliver in my classes. Equally, it encompasses the ability to relate effectively to students of diverse cultural backgrounds and to tailor teaching methods in all my subject areas to suit their individual needs.

As a Journalist, Political Scientist, and Social Studies teacher, I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey subject material in an accessible and compelling manner. Besides, I have highly developed computer skills, with in-depth experience of utilising technology in the classroom to maximise the learning experience.

For example, my experience and skills in teaching a subject like citizenship includes strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.

In all, I have a passion for strategic change management, Government and Politics, Media Studies and modern Studies including a commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in these specialist fields.

Overall, like every other teacher the onerous task of making students learn and be important members of the communities in which they live, is my main motivation in any school that I found myself.

Methodologically, I am from a socio-cultural school that uses variety of approaches of learning pedagogy including behaviour management to make students acquire knowledge in a classroom atmosphere.

To solidify this teaching rationale, I always tend to create strong expectation and challenges in my lessons, which are embedded in the concepts of ` MUST’, ‘COULD’ and ‘SHOULD’ for the implementation of my lesson objective and outcomes.
