About Maria

I'm a first-year medical student at Flinders University, passionate about both learning and teaching. I strongly believe that every student can grow and succeed with the right support and approach. With over 6 years of experience tutoring high school students, I’ve developed a flexible teaching style tailored to each individual’s learning needs. I also have a passion for drawing, which I bring into my teaching by breaking down complex topics using clear visuals, mind maps, and analogies to help students truly understand the material.

About the lesson

I specialise in helping high school students understand complex topics using visual learning techniques such as mind mapping, diagrams, and guided practice questions. Each session runs for 1 hour and is tailored to the student’s learning style and curriculum. I’ve tutored both privately and through a professional company, and have consistently received strong feedback for my clear explanations and engaging approach. Students I’ve worked with have shown excellent outcomes and improved confidence in their subjects.

Bavly

I highly recommend Maria as a tutor. She’s super kind, patient, and really knows her stuff. Back in high school, she helped me get through math, and the way she explains things and drawing things out on her iPad just makes everything click. You’ll definitely learn a lot from her!
