About Posh
Hi there, My name is Posh :) I am currently a GCSE student predicted a 9 in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and I have achieved these on my mocks. I decided I wanted to become a tutor because I want to utilise the skills I have to help those who want to help themselves and succeed and I want to be that pivot in a student's academic life that will get them from apathetic to enthusiastic. Growing up, I have usually done well in most of my subjects, but when I entered secondary school, things became a little different. I discovered that just coasting my way through school is not going to benefit me anymore and that the work wasn't as easy as I felt it was when I was younger and so I began to struggle. However, even though I was able to pick up the slack for Maths and Science the best on my own, the same did not apply to my other subjects and so my grades began to fall. No matter what I tried, I couldn't pick up the slack on my own and I was too prideful to ask for help so I faced these subjects with an apathetic attitude and allowed my grades to stay low. Eventually, when things began to become serious, I was forced to swallow my pride and invest in a tutor myself and it was probably the best decision I had ever made and now I am thriving and I want that for others too.

As a teenager myself who has also struggled with some of my lessons, I am able to empathise with students who have tried and tried but cannot seem to grasp Maths or Science on their own as I have had the same experiences. Being around the same age as my students means that I can create a comfortable learning environment where they won't feel judged for asking for help as I know that that is what can hinder progress. My lessons would be around an hour long but that can be negotiated. I offer lessons for GCSE students and below.
