About Zara
My interest in mathematics began with the enjoyment of patterns and logical puzzles. This passion eventually led me to a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics and an M.Sc in Mathematical Modelling, where I developed a deep appreciation for the discipline’s structure and clarity. Over the past 7 years, teaching mathematics has given me the opportunity to help students strengthen their reasoning skills, build confidence, and discover the beauty of numerical thinking. I teach with patience, clarity, and compassion. Students approach mathematics differently—some need slow repetition, others need step-by-step guidance, and many benefit from visual or intuitive explanations. I adapt to their needs, ensuring a supportive learning environment built on encouragement and steady improvement. My teaching values include kindness, logical structure, and respect for each student’s pace. Outside teaching, I continue exploring mathematical literature, solving advanced problems for personal growth, and staying engaged with academic discussions that keep my perspective fresh. Mathematics has shaped my worldview, teaching me precision, logical thinking, and resilience. Sharing these qualities with students is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work, and it continues to inspire my dedication to teaching.

I guide students through algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and exam techniques using clear explanations, real examples, and structured practice. The aim is to help students view mathematics as a meaningful and logical subject rather than a source of stress or confusion. Beginners work with foundational concepts—basic operations, formula meaning, visual reasoning, and simple problem breakdowns. Intermediate students handle multi-step solutions, graphs, functions, algebraic manipulation, and steady practice that strengthens analytical thinking. Advanced learners engage with proofs, calculus depth, optimisation, and exam-oriented strategies. I emphasise logical flow, clarity of working steps, and building the ability to approach challenging problems with calm confidence. My goal is to help students build a strong and lasting understanding of mathematics. Many learners have experienced improvements in grades, exam performance, or general confidence with numbers. More importantly, they learn to think clearly and approach problems with structure. Each lesson aims to help them grow intellectually, build resilience, and find satisfaction in solving mathematical challenges.
