About Mark
I have been teaching for 6 years. I have taught subjects from General Math to Calculus. I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus during the 2018-2019 school year. My class was up to 22 students in a class. I also work with a tutoring center and I tutor on one on one or two students at a time.

I often use the gradual release method, I do, we do then you do. I explain a concept, give an example of the concept then I will have students work together on the concept finally they will practice on there own. Also, I use questioning to pull out prior knowledge in order to relate it to the new concept which is being taught. I also use graphic organizers to encourage the students to become more independent learners with my support. I use technology to assist the students like Khan Academy, IXL and other tools which will assist the students in their learning. I use different mnemonics to help the students learn a concept for example order of operations "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" or Metric conversion "King Henry Died MY Drinking Chocolate Milk". Also, I use problem-based learning where the students will be shown how what is being learned are applied to real life.

The rates will vary on the level of math for General math or Algebra I the rate will be $15.00/hr but for a higher level of math $18.00/hr.
