About Rebecca
Maths is my passion! I am a mathematics student with a specialisation in statistics, attending university in London. I know exactly how daunting maths can be when schools often fail to put in place the proper foundation essential in making the subject both enjoyable and easy. Fortunately, I am here to help.
I am also a classically trained musician with an extensive knowledge of theory (degree level) and the A-level syllabus. I would also be willing to provide lessons on this front.

I've been delighted to see the majority of my students achieve A*s and As.
One of my students has been accepted onto Warwick University's prestigious MORSE degree (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics)

I have taught a variety of age-groups, from pre-GCSE to A-level maths. Almost all of my students, before coming to me, had concerns about rapidly approaching exams and needed reassurance that it wasn't too late!
There are three parts to my teaching method:
1. UNDERSTANDING: For many, achieving an understanding of the initial concepts is is the most difficult stage. With the proper explanation and patience, this will become second-nature in no time.
2. PRACTICE: Maths, perhaps more than other subject, requires regular practice (little and often is key!). I can direct you to the proper exercises that will enable you to develop your mathematical foundation without wasting your valuable time.
3. EXAM TECHNIQUE: Just as essential as the previous two points! With the correct analysis of the exam you are sitting, you can anticipate your revision strategy and even predict what questions to expect in the paper.
As a tutor, I am to provide an entirely tailored experience. I understand that for the subject of maths in particular, each individual student will have their specific problem areas and issues in different areas of the subject. I've had students with an excellent ability to understand initial concepts, and I was able to recognise that it was their exam technique that was failing them in achieving the grades they deserved. I aim to boost confidence and show students that maths is a challenge to be enjoyed.
