About Tessa
I am a mathematics tutor with 11 years of experience and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics. My interest in mathematics began through exploring patterns, solving logical challenges, and understanding how mathematics explains real-world situations.
I believe learning mathematics should be encouraging, practical, and well organised. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand concepts deeply while improving confidence through steady practice and positive reinforcement. Every learner receives individual attention that matches their pace.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading about mathematical applications, solving advanced puzzles, and following developments in educational research. These interests help me create lessons that are engaging, practical, and inspiring for students.

My mathematics lessons are designed to help students understand ideas clearly instead of depending on memorised formulas. We begin with number operations, algebraic expressions, fractions, geometry, and percentages before moving into advanced mathematical concepts. As learners improve, we study trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics, probability, functions, sequences, and mathematical reasoning.
