About Matthew
After earning a B.S. in physics I have since spent the last 11 years working at a math learning center where I honed my teaching skills. I have a strong passion for learning and I consider myself a lifelong student, as I love to be constantly learning new concepts. I bring that passion to all of my interactions with students, and I strongly believe that education can significantly improve a person's quality of life. I will always be on your side and willing to help, regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in.

I teach math and science by understanding the students' need and adjusting my approach to meet that need. We can start off going over homework problems or identifying areas of concern and then build your understanding from there. I use a variety of techniques including Socratic Questioning, modeling for the student, and offering my personal experiences with the material. Most of all, I like to make learning fun and will often incorporate humor and fun anecdotes into my lessons! I teach and have experience with students of all ages and all skill levels.
