About Ellie
I am a Year 13 studying A-level History, Maths, and English Lit. Maths is my favourite subject and tutoring this past year at my sixth form has been really enjoyable and rewarding for me. I love being able to share my knowledge and skill with others to help them better understand and enjoy maths.
Having been very bad at maths when I was much younger, I remember how hopeless I felt while trying to improve my maths skills independently. I always dreaded getting a question wrong and it made maths not only more difficult but also more off-putting. I was too scared to
even attempt questions!
However, I got a tutor who really helped me bece more confident in answering maths, and not only did I become better, but I discovered a love for maths. I hope to share this passion with other students who like maths and just don't know it yet!!

My aim as a tutor is to teach my students how to excel in mathematics. I will teach them not just how to answer specific questions, but also exam technique and how to
decipher problem-solving questions. Furthermore, I place extra emphasis on growing my students' confidence and removing the fear of maths that many students seem to have, so that they have the courage to try and persist at difficult questions.
Having been both a tutor and tutee, I know how important it is for tutoring to be fun. So, if you are looking for a tutor who will challenge you and stretch you while making sure tutor sessions are as engaging and interactive as possible, then you've found them!!
