Super Tutor

Koustav is one of our best Music reading tutors. High-quality profile, qualifications verified, organised and responsive to lesson requests, and appreciated by their students.

About Koustav

I have studied Western Classical music from Trinity College (London). I am currently working as a Violin player in Kolkata Youth Ensemble, with performance experience over 9 years. In addition, I am having various students through different online portals. Giving international examinations is always encouraged. Courses Followed: Suzuki Violin Methods, Eta Cohen’s, Violin star method, TRINITY International exam and ABRSM International exam. Other genres of light music / Bollywood are taught on special request.

About the lesson

With over 13 years stage experience, and almost equal teaching experience, I firmly believe that for playing the Violin, right techniques are the most important, and they form the backbone of one's learning. And then comes interpretation of music, along with other necessary intricacies like communication, phrasing, dynamics and intonation! Apart from that, Composition and Theoretical knowledge, Sight Reading, Rhythm courses, Ear Training courses and other associated skills are imparted for the candidate's overall musical development. Wish you very good luck for getting success in your dream of learning music.

Kaustav sir is an amazing teacher with vast knowledge in music and various instruments. I am learning Violin from him, being completely new to the instrument. He is very cordial, patient, and I can approach him anytime. This is, according to me, how an ideal teacher should be.

I introduce myself as one of Koustav's colleagues! He has always been passionate about music, and specifically about violin. We used to discuss a lot about music in the earlier days, and I remember that he always surprised me with his grip of knowledge on this particular field. And for violin, I don't need to say anything as I have visited almost all of his stage performances. Best wishes, my dear friend

I will share my experience on Koustav Sir's Violin class, which I have been taking for almost 1 year now. An amazing person by heart, he is an exceptional tutor. He always makes sure that my violin and bow holding postures are right.

I was basically poor in understanding the rhythms at the beginning, but he has been helping me a lot regarding that. I appreciate this optimistic way of his teaching. Thank you
