About Hidenori

I am a professional operatic bass-baritone with a career spanning over 50 international opera houses, including prestigious stages like the Arena di Verona. I also spent years refining my craft and repertory as a former permanent ensemble member at Theater Bremen. My formal training began in New York City, where I earned my Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. Having spent decades navigating the demanding world of professional opera, I know firsthand the physical and mental stamina required to sustain a career on stage. I transitioned into teaching because I want to pass down the invaluable secrets of Bel Canto that kept my own voice healthy through hundreds of performances, combined with the rigorous academic and anatomical knowledge required by today's industry standards. Whether you are preparing for a major audition, fixing a technical hurdle, or building a role, I am here to help you achieve absolute vocal freedom.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy bridges the golden era of vocal tradition with modern vocal science. I specialize in teaching traditional, old-school Italian Bel Canto, which is the ultimate foundation for a long, healthy vocal life, effortless production, and maximum agility across your entire range. Because passion needs precision, I pair this classic technique with an anatomical approach. We won't just talk in vague metaphors; you will learn exactly what is happening inside your physical system. By understanding the mechanics of your breath support, larynx, and resonators, you will gain total control over your instrument. What you can expect from our sessions: -Vocal Longevity & Health: Building a sustainable technique that protects your voice for a lifelong career. -Freedom & Flexibility: Eliminating tension to achieve an even, resonant line and effortless high/low extensions. -Anatomical Clarity: Demystifying vocal production so you can self-correct under pressure. -Audition & Role Preparation: Polishing repertoire with someone who knows exactly what modern opera houses are looking for.
