About Fiya

I am a graduate from Imperial College London studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. I completed IB in 2017. I think I would make a great tutor because I will personalize the learning, incorporate connections to the my students interests, teach to the student's strengths and minimize the student's weaknesses.

Lessons: In the first session, I will set quantitative and qualitative goals and expectations. I will take time to explain the topic and use a scaffolding technique to slowly gain the students understanding of the topic. In addition to teaching the core material, I will try and provide examples of how it is used in the real world. I shall make the sessions interactive and involve the student in every way possible.

My Qualifications:
International Baccalaureate: Mathematics, Physics, Economics Higher Level (7s), Chemistry Standard Level (7)

Exam Expectations: To get a 7 in math's and physics HL, I not only learnt the syllabus but looked at past examiner reports, grade boundaries and teacher guides to ensure I could make sure I got the 7.
I am passionate about math, physics and chemistry. I look forward to working with students who are excited about a variety of academic disciplines.
