About Ian Woo
I am a Computer Science graduate from Harvey Mudd College, one of the top engineering and tech colleges in the country. I had to study a variety of AP classes and prepare hard for the SAT to attend Harvey Mudd, and I am familiar with standardized techniques, studying techniques, and also have helped tutor high schoolers for years now.
Course Experience:
In high school, I took AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C (Both Electromagnetism and Physical), AP English Literature, AP Economics - Macroeconomics, AP Economics - Microeconomics, and AP World History. I have also taken college-level introductory biology, introductory chemistry, mechanical physics, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, and, of course, various computer science classes.
I graduated high school with a 4.20 GPA and a 1520 on the SAT. I had a 770 on the Math 2 subject test and an 800 on the Chemistry subject test.

I use a fundamentals first approach to evaluate how you are doing in your classes or studies and see what concepts you could work on. I scored a 1520 on the SAT and a 770 on the SAT subject 2 test for Math, so I am very familiar with the SAT format, but I can help you prepare for the ACT as well. I am decently fluent in mandarin, so if needed I can tutor younger student in mandarin as well.
In a typical 1-hour lesson, we will first evaluate what you have been having trouble with overall, and then divide that into more isolated sections to go over one by one. I have lots of experience helping students that struggle with subjects in STEM and look forward to meeting you!
