Hi, I’m Yash, a dedicated Year 11 selective school student with a strong passion for Math and Chemistry. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps, which is what inspired me to start tutoring. My goal is not just to help students get better marks, but to build their confidence and help them develop skills they can use independently in the long term.

In my tutoring practice, I aim to build understanding through metacognition. I want my students to learn how to examine problems and their strategies for solving them and become self-sufficient learners. I work with students to help them see how to tackle problems, deconstruct hard questions, and build strategies that they can use for their exams and future work.
Typically, I conduct my lessons for about one hour (though they may also be 30 minutes if that’s what is preferred), and I can do this once or twice per week depending on what is needed. I aim for my lessons to have a clear structure, while also being flexible, and usually I structure them to start with a review of previous lessons, targeted practice, and end with some exam-style questions.
I focus on clear explanations, patience, and adapting to each student’s individual learning style. I have experience tutoring Year 7–9 students, and I currently study in Year 11 of a selective school, so I have experience helping students in both lower secondary and middle secondary school.
My lessons are best for high primary students and students in Year 10 and below, particularly those wanting to develop their understanding, strengthen their fundamentals, work ahead of their peers, or wanting to offer entry exam tips and strategies.
