About Mishal
Hi! I’m a dedicated and approachable tutor with a passion for Mathematics and helping others learn. Studying Mathematics and Accounting & Finance with a 2:1 has strengthened my problem-solving and analytical skills, which I now want to share with younger students who might find maths challenging or intimidating. I understand how frustrating it can be when topics don’t click right away, and that’s why I love tutoring. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and helping students realise that they’re capable of more than they think. My goal as a tutor is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop confidence and a positive attitude towards learning Maths. I’m professional, reliable, and committed to creating a supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to do their best.

My approach to tutoring is centred around patience, understanding, and building confidence in every student. I believe that anyone can do well in maths with the right guidance and explanation. During lessons, I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then tailor my teaching to match their learning style. I use step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, and plenty of practice question worksheets to help students develop a clear understanding of mathematical concepts. I encourage active participation and create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how learning happens best. Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes, which I find is the perfect amount of time to cover key topics while keeping students engaged and focused. I have completed a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting & Finance, with stellar results in GCSE Maths and Further Maths and A-levels Maths and Economics (A*-A). I’ve mentored students in my local network with their schoolwork and exam preparation, helping them improve their understanding, boost their grades, and most importantly, feel more comfortable tackling maths questions. My lessons are designed for primary and secondary school students, whether they’re looking to strengthen their foundations, prepare for exams, or simply build confidence in Maths.
