About Kate

I am confident that I will be able to help you master the concepts of your math class because I hold a 3.9 GPA, have experience tutoring, am an effective communicator, and have never received a grade lower than an A in any college-level math class including calculus 2.

About the lesson

My teaching style will be individualized and tailored to specific tasks. I like to help students work through a similar problem first and then see if they can apply those skills to their coursework. Usually, the first 10 minutes will be devoted to creating a plan for the lesson and making sure that what the student needs to learn can be accomplished within an agreed upon time frame. I also like to end each lesson with a summary and a brief QA session.

I have taken a 1 unit class in individualized tutoring and have 1 year of experience tutoring computer programming. I would like to help students in the k-12 range and college students in subject areas I have already taken a class for.
