About Julián
I am a 26-year-old Colombian Master's student, a lawyer by training. I decided to follow my main passion a year ago: study, research, and teaching. I have experience dealing with people from several countries, I lived in Brazil for two years, I have presented texts in Mexico, and I know several regions of my country. I speak Portuguese and English fluently, and I consider myself a very patient person when it comes to teaching. I am genuinely interested in my students learning, but also in learning from them and getting ideas to discover new things. With me you will read a lot, because I value reading as the means that brings us closer to understanding the world, but you will never be alone in reading, and I will always guide you in the face of doubts or gaps that arise from it.

I work with graphic and interactive material. My first session focuses on knowing my students' affinities, and academic needs with the purpose of designing teaching sessions that refer to examples close to the student. Typically, a class for young or adults begins with commenting on a previously assigned context reading whose length and complexity varies according to the student's experience. Later we focus on the thematic core of the session through a short exposition (with supporting images and videos) on the subject and its sources. Then there will be a space to talk with the student and learn about their concerns. I will ask you to let me know your opinions and conclusions on the subject, and the material will be assigned for the next session. Sometimes I will suggest movies and books. I answer questions during the week only by mail, whatsapp and calls only for emergencies. Weekly sessions, schedule is arranged with the student.
