I have a degree in History and Orientalistic Cultures, a master's degree in history with a specialization on Japan. Learning is a journey. What has been, what is and what will be, the spaces and evolutions of human thought, how people expressed what they thought and felt ... all this is united by a red thread, which leads to each of us.
History, literature, philosophy, geography ... they can have a meaning for you as they have for who wrote them, as they have for me. They have become my passion, and they can also be yours, they can have a meaning that goes beyond names, dates and numbers, because if you want to listen, they talk about you and you.
This is why I want to teach, because I love what I know and I like to think I can make others love it too. Because when I talk about what I like, like in this case what men and women of the past have said, written and done before we were born, I feel alive. Because history is not just a list of dead people, literature is not just a bunch of words, philosophy is not just a set of abstract concepts: they are living things, if we know how to look at them.
For this reason my lessons are based on making concepts understood instead of having them memorized in an "aseptic" way: because I am convinced that the world does not need many small encyclopedias, but people able to reason, understand and act autonomously and consciously. Because a teacher is really successful when he becomes useless, when (as they say) "the pupil surpasses the teacher".
