About Shelby
I enjoy helping others learn and succeed in school and in their careers. I am knowledgeable in material as well as test taking skills. I have had a hard time learning and focusing throughout school and have found fun ways to learn and study in order to be successful and would love the opportunity to share that with you! I have been tutoring since high school sharing my new ways as well as staying up to date on the current curriculum. I enjoy tutoring as a side passion while I pursue my current career as an ICU nurse. I spent my first 2.5 years as a nurse at Duke University Hospital, then I became a travel nurse as a various different hospitals. I look forward to hearing from you to helping you learn and grow!

I have always enjoyed teaching as well as excelling in math and sciences. In high school I took honors and AP sciences (biology and chemistry) as well as math; including but not limited to environmental sciences, marine biology, algebra, algebra 2/ trigonometry, geometry. In college I retook chemistry and organic chemistry, as well as anatomy and physiology and all nursing classes. I passed my NCLEX-RN in the least amount of questions in 2021. In 2023 I took my critical care certification (CCRN - Adult) through the AACN l.
