About Kellie
I became a special education teacher because I too was born with special needs. I was born with cerebral palsy. Mine was only physical and through several surgeries I’ve lead a very functional and successful life. I’ve been working in education for 14 years and special education for 12. I was a special education paraprofessional for 10 years for children with multiple physical disabilities along with a floating instructional aide for lesser disabilities such as ADHD and learning disabilities. I received my Special Education teaching degree in 2019. I just finished my 3rd year of teaching. I feel called to helping children in any capacity.

My passion is students with special needs. I’ve been in education for 14 years. I enjoy providing extra assistance and instruction to these students. My teaching practice is based of the I do, we do, you do ideology. I present data to students as many times as needed in different ways as needed. We then practice the skill together again as much as needed, and lastly the student performs independently ( I do) to show mastery of skill.
A skill should be performed 3/4 times independently and accurately to prove mastery.
