About Katelyn Joy
I have a BFA in Musical Theatre from Texas Christian University, but I also studied and excelled in many other subjects, such as my geography and politics courses. In high school, I was the president of my school’s National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Spanish Club. I took predominantly advanced/honors courses and 8 different AP courses (Calculus AB, Calculus BC, US History, World History, Psychology, English Literature, English Language, and Music Theory) all of which I passed the exams for. Many of these topics are still topics that I’m passionate and invested in learning more about, so even though they did not have to do with my college curriculum, I continue to read about them or elect to take courses in the matters.

I am very open-minded and friendly, so I hope to make you feel welcomed and heard! I enjoy understanding topics from multiple perspectives so I can alter my tutoring style to fit the student’s learning style. I also find many subjects fascinating, so it allows me to be excited and invested in what I am teaching.
