About Fay
Hi there! My name is Ms. Fay, and I’m so excited to be your online part-time Math teacher! Whether you're in Grade 8 or 9, and whether you already like Math or find it a bit tricky sometimes, I’m here to help you feel confident and supported every step of the way. I’ve been teaching in both high school and elementary school, and I enjoy working with students your age. I believe that Math is something we can all learn with the right tools, practice, and support—and even have fun with along the way! You can come to me for help with: • Math questions you're stuck on • Homework support • Test preparation • Or just to talk through something that doesn't quite make sense yet I'm also here to cheer you on when you do get it—and help you keep going when things feel hard. I love using real-life examples, games, and step-by-step strategies to make things clearer. Everyone learns differently, and that’s okay! I’m part of the Líl̓wat Nation, and I also enjoy bringing Indigenous ways of learning into our lessons—like working together, learning from the land, and using math in ways that connect to real life. Please don’t be afraid to ask questions, make mistakes, or try new strategies. That’s how we grow! I look forward to working with you this year and supporting your success in Math and beyond.
