About Adreena

Hey!

I’m a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic 1st year medical student at the University of Leicester. I’ve been teaching for the past 2 years. As a medic, my passion lies in helping others, and teaching is an extension of that. I am very much a people-person and always aspire to make my students as comfortable and happy as possible.

I take pride in my tutoring and invest hours of my time to ensure your needs are met and that you get the best teaching quality, creating my own interactive and engaging resources. I am always attentive and patient with my students.

About the lesson

I can tutor GCSE and A-Level students online on a weekly basis, as well as medical school applicants. Typical lessons are 1-1.5 hrs, though I am always happy to do what works for you.

I have been teaching in-person for 2 years and I believe the best teaching comes from prioritising proper understanding of the content instead of chasing marks. I’ve had students go from 3/4s to finally achieving 7/8s. As I took Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-Level, I will provide holistic and comprehensive teaching.

Previous students have chosen me for my clear, attentive and interactive approach. I encourage my students to think outside the box when targeting problems and I provide more challenging questions so you can smash your exams. I offer lessons on content as well as exam technique and past paper analysis.

As a medical student, I can give the best feedback for the gruelling medical school application. I was successful in all my medical interviews and was praised for being passionate, empathetic and personable. I can work with you on commonly asked questions, ethics questions and roleplays. I can provide both MMI style and panel/traditional interviews.

Throughout our sessions, she helped me understand the trickier Maths related parts of Chemistry that I struggled with, explaining them in an effective way using past papers as examples.

What I appreciate the most about her teaching is her ability to break down complex topics into manageable chunks without making you feel left behind. Her kind and genuine approach makes learning feel much more enjoyable, and therefore I would highly recommend her as a tutor!
