About Hilda
Hi I’m Hilda! I have just graduated high school last year from New Zealand and am currently living in Australia studying full time at Village Nation Performing Arts! I have had experience in both classical/choir, and musical theatre styles of singing since the age of 5 and have had numerous performance opportunities since. I am passionate about making sure that all my students I teach feel accomplished, motivated and encouraged after our lessons where I pride myself in creating a comfortable space to ask any questions, discuss any struggles or have a giggle when needed! I truly want the best experience for my students when learning from me, and can assure that while simultaniously having fun and support in my classes, they will also reach their fullest potential as a result of hard work and become the best singers they can be!

My personal approach to private tutoring singing is to ensure that all my greatly developed skills over the years are able to be put to use to help a student achieve their fullest potential. I assure I will encourage my students to always work their hardest in my lessons, unlocking singing techniques, skills and confidence that they may have not imagined was achievable, all while developing a friendly and supportive relationship with them. It is clear I have valuable experience in singing and other performing aspects such as dancing, and I also am very confident in teaching. My approach to lessons will consist of the structure of warming up, explanaing important singing principles eg correct breathing (for beginner students if needed,) then working through a song with a student over a matter of weeks so they get opportunity to see their own improvement and broaden their repitoire. Over the course of weekly lessons with students, I will work with them to set both short term and long term goals to act as motivation and become the best singer they can be.
