About Isabella
I'm Izzy, I'm a medical student and have so far completed 3 years of study. I'm currently taking a year out to do a Master's in Women's Health at King's College London and am living at home. I've been tutoring on and off since 2015, with my very first tutee receiving all A* grades at GCSE. I get on well with all age groups and I'm very friendly and approachable. I received the highest academic scholarships available for all of the secondary schools which I applied to, and am happy to provide advice on both school and university applications on top of tutoring. In the future, my goal is to work as a paediatric doctor.
I've been told in the past that I'm very good at finding alternative ways of learning tricky topics. I find it best to begin all tutoring jobs by getting to know the student and finding out which areas they struggle the most with and where their strengths lie. This helps me to tailor my approach, and I often use areas of strength as a platform to link to other topics as this gives students more confidence. I have found it the past, breaking down key core principles and nailing the fundamentals leads to lots of other concepts falling into place.
