About Anisah
I am a fourth year medical student studying at the University of Birmingham. Currently I am taking a year out of medicine to study Public Health and Population Sciences. I'm from South London and achieved 11 A*s in my GCSEs.
I love teaching, as I have volunteered for several programmes teaching young pupils in schools about topics such as mental health and healthy eating. I have tutored GCSE chemistry and assisted in writing material for GCSE revision guides in chemistry and physics.
As chemistry prefect at school, I helped students with their homework and ran after school sessions. As the president for a university society, alongside being a part of several other committees, I can demonstrate excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
I can understand how stressful exams can be so I want to try and help anyone I can in the most comfortable and relaxing environment!

I focus on ensuring that my students understand the basic concepts behind a subject before building on this in more depth. I aim to provide students with reading before the session, then to go thoroughly go through this in the lesson - covering any challenging sections and make sure my student feels confident. I encourage the use of active recall and practice questions.
The length of lessons can vary depending on the preference of the student. I can tutor KS2 to GCSE level of maths, biology and chemistry.
As a medical student, I have mentored students in the medicine application process so have gained experience in virtual mentorship.
